WHAT ARE C33X LIKE?

Imagine the lollipop you were licking was the movie you were watching - a battle of the senses.Over a drink or three they just might blab that they gleefully absorb inspiration from Bowie, West Side Story, Some Like it Hot, David Lynch movies and Jeff Buckley. To call them 'Japan playing Nirvana', would be a groping attempt at portraying the anarchy that squats in their hearts and the poetry which haunts their minds. And, did we mention 'SONGS'? C33X write songs. Songs, s...

Although it probably annos the band that everyone mentions this, the bassist is a highly recognizable face from two comedic shows. Those being "The State" which I believe came on late at night on MTV, and "Viva Variety" which had it's run on Comedy Central. I vaguely remember the video having something to do with them all in formal dress...

To relate the story of a band which has no story clearly must involve a slight amount of background (and no small amount of sleight of hand). A South American venture involving a young group from Sao Paulo, a sudden sense of urgency and movementwithout a proper narrative, how could it happen? Where to begin? The official press release offers scattered insight, and translated from the original Portuguese, it remains a lively romp around the English language: "Taking the fact of not knowing h...
