Ego Likeness continue to build on their musical foundation as they did with their 2004 release "Water to the Dead." Some downtempo tracks recall their "Dragonfly" release, but as with Water, this disc is more eclectic. Aviary is a slow, dangerous, smouldering, slithering track that may well be the best Ego Likeness song to date. However, uptempo rockers like Severine and Burn Witch Burn are well represented on this album as well. Fans of Curve and Collide should continue to enjoy new Ego Likeness material, but this is certainly a band that is blazing its own trail. Also includes the first-ever Ego Likeness video, "Aviary."
