2007 double CD comp from the Scottish Post-Punk/New Wave/Pop band. Despite their Punk roots Altered Images epitomize a period in UK Pop that came at the start of the '80s. Punk, new wave, two-tone and a short-lived mod revival in the second half of the previous decade had all been rather serious so when Altered Images brand of fun-filled pop danced out of the nations radios it was akin to a breath of fresh air. Visually they managed to convey a kind of bubblegum-chic, thanks to lead singer Claire Grogan and an initial barrage of brightly colored picture sleeved singles and shirts!
